Hey backers,

A quick reminder to ask that you look to complete the survey sent out last year to ensure you get the correct size and colour on your Freestates - we are moving at full speed at the factory now on our pre-production run and pretty soon we will be cutting the order. To avoid missing out please please please complete the survey sent and let us know exactly what you want so we can get these made in good time!

Update 2 - Production tooling.

Hi Backers - A happy New Year to all our backers!. 2019 promises to be a big year for us all here at TTi - we continue to develop and production trial Freestate in readiness for our first production run later this month. We thought you might like to see how the guys at the development centre have been getting on in various areas of the development so over the next week or 2 we will issue updates showing various parts of Freestate having its final tooling signed off. Please see enclosed some images our team sent over of how they prepare a key area of the shoe ….Today we thought we would share with you the method we use to create the distinctive heel tab that carries our splitsun logo. It looks so simple to create but takes real skill to get the sharpness and definition we require while also making sure the tab sits comfortably on the heel to become one of the most comfortable shoes you will have ever worn, more to follow!

Pre Production update.

Hi Backers – In a first of our production updates we thought you might like to see some images of the production trials of Freestate currently under way in China. Our team have been working on grading all the production sizes to fulfil the pledges from our recent campaign. On these images you can see the preparation of the all-important upper welds that give Freestate its unique structure and flexibility. You can even see the glass knives used for the cutting of the uppers (glass is used to aid the placement by the cutter). We have also included images of the upper panels being located onto the welding board before being placed into the HF welding machine and also an image of the final upper after it emerges from the weld process. We hope to issue updates showing other areas of the tooling and production process through the winter.Ten Thousand Islands team.
